One of the coolest things about living in Titusville, is watching the Shuttle Launches. Atlantis Blasted off yesterday, it was my 5th launch, and remains the coolest thing i've seen, other than the thign Shelby does with her tongue and a chery stem...............

The long road home...........
Shelby and I returned to washington for the first time since we left last year. Jacob had concerts on bothe the 6th and the 7th. We had hoped that it would be a suprise but someone had let thew cat out of the bag(which could've been me) and , althoiught they may not have been shocked by seeing us, they were thrilled.
We met Jake's girfriend, Brittney, who was as pretty as she was sweet. We met Jake's bandmates, who were as talented as they were weird. We were re-introduced to Washington weather, which was fa-reeeezing!
We spent 5 days there, not nearly long enough. but, it was good. We were able to see how bad the boys have it there, and our goal is to get them both here by the end of 2010. They are are both great kids, and deserve better than what they are getting . I take full responsibility for that and plan on rectifying this situation swiftly.

Halloween
Halloween was going to one of the worst nights of my life and it almost turned out that way.
Shelby had decided that we were going to dress up and go to a party, then follow up by going out around Titusville in our retarded costumes. I'm not one to shy away from opportunities to embarass myself, but, i want to look decent while doing so............
We awoke to a note on the kitchen counter that said that Bill was in the hospital. Everything turned out well, he is fine, but had to spend the weekend in Parrish Hospital. It was an incredible gesture of solidarity from a father-in-law to son-in-law to go to extreme measures for the sake of saving dignity. Perhaps Bill saw my costume, perhaps he knew where i was going and his friends would be there too. Perhaps he, too, was in this very same predicament years ago and someone had saved him. Maybe he is just trying to save his own face in this town, which is a full time job since his daughter married me and we moved down here.
At any rate, faking that dizzy spell was a stroke of genius that saved the day for both of us...........

We're back!
After a 7 month hiatus, Shelby has forced me to start writing again. A lot has changed since we last posted, a lot has stayed the same. It would be incredibly self indulgent to believe that anyone would care to "catch-up" with everything over the last several months, so let's just say that we are all still alive and doing well. I "survived" my first Florida summer, although I am extremely disappointed with the wimpy hurricane season. Let's hope that the future holds more excitement than this summer. We are planning our first trip back to Washington since the move, which we are looking forward to. So, although nobody is listening anymore, we will have a lot to share. I can't wait to, again, shame ourselves and both sides of our families with way too much information, shameful pictures, and ridiculous stories. The writing isn't always great, but it sure is fun!

Shelby Dawn Sygitowicz
Happy Birthday to my best friend. You are more beautiful today, than you were when I first laid eyes on you, which is incredible. I am so grateful that you came into my life 4 years ago. You are and always will be my dream girl. I still get butterflies when I see your gorgeous smile. Each milestone that we reach together, is more precious to me than the last. I hope you have an incredible day, and I am so thankful that I am here to share it with you. To the one who i will always see when I close my eyes, Happy Birthday, I love you with all that I am...........

Happy Birthday Papa H!
March 9th marked the end of Mr. Holdens calender for the 64th time. He celebrated surrounded by his 3 favorite, and his favorite son-in-law( I win this title by default, as I am his only son-in-law ). Thank you, for all you have done for us in the past few months. Happy Birthday, and here's to celebrating many more.
Here's a cake baked by Brianna...

And, just like every party, there's always someone on the outside looking in. This night was no different............

GO LIGHTNINGBUGS!
Brianna had her first soccer game on the 7th of March.............They play 4-12 minute quarters. She did really well, playing forward in the first, fullback in the second, goalie in the third, and center in the fourth...Unfortunately, they lost 328-3, but they don't keep score in this league, so ALL IS GOOD! Here's what the massacre looked like :)

Here's Brie, taking out a chick who dared to infiltrate her space...........

Inspired by Brianna, as the ball was coming towards the sideline, I saw a little girl, not paying attention....I had to take her out before she disrupted play...Hey! It was a legal tackle!

Since I was kicked out of the complex, I don't have any other pics to share....probably a good thing :) There's always next week!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!
It's been over 2 weeks since we've posted, and I know you both are DYING to know what we've been up to! We have very exciting news! Nothing has changed since our last update! But, just in case you have been suffering from insomnia, i have created a slide show put to music, to make your eyelids incredibly heavy! It's boring, self-indulgent, and extemely long. In fact, the song plays 3 times before the pictures are through. So, we have two choices. Either turn the volume down, or you are required to know the words by the third time through and sing along!.......Nighty-night!

100TH POST!!
For our 100TH post, I've decided to give you something special. After all this is quite a milestone! It takes commitment, discipline, and a huge ego to think that there are people out in cyberspace that actually care. So, for those two people that actually check in to our blog every month or so, this is for you!

The morning after.........................
A great night of fun always has a price.............
Whether is not being able to sleep in because some AHole is taking pictures at "To F'en early AM"............

Or maybe the price is swollen eyes, that feel like they're on fire.....

The point is, there is always a price to pay. It doesn't have to be a price for drinking too much, dancing to fast, or wearing heels that are too high. Regardless of what you do, there is always a price to pay for your actions. Sometimes that price make a monster hangover seem like chump change...........

St. Pete Three-peat Saturday(PM)
We printed out directions to the church from the Internet. They made absolutely no sense after we completed step 2 of 14....15 minutes into the journey we were lost. As Shelby barked out instructions and Kip phoned for help from the backseat, I made some sound decisions amidst the chaos and with a a little luck, we found the church at 6:11. The wedding started @ 6:30. It seemed like everyone else used "google" to get their map as well. Besides the wedding party, there were 5 people in the church.
The wedding started, they said "I do" and time will tell about the happily ever after part, but I wish them well.
The reception was next, and instead of writing about it, I'll let the pictures tell the story.....
There were beautiful women.........

Ummmm..there were men.........

And a whole lot of drinking, which lead to poor decision making, although it is always good for photo-ops..........

That'll be enough of that! Nobody died, we all returned safely home, and had a good time. Sometimes that is enough.......

St. Pete Three-peat(Saturday AM)
Saturday morning started out just like every other weekend morning on the West side. Megan and Shelby make a bloomin' onion on the front porch while drinking the thickest coffee known to man. Megan judges her coffee by the color, and when she makes "Black" coffee, it's Black! If the recipe calls for 4 scoops of ground coffee, then 8 scoops should be TWICE as good, right!? Then, to drown out the bitterness of this jave syrup, scoops of coffee mate and sugar are added until the gelified substance in the cup has turned back into a jaundicey yellow color. By this time, the mixture is so thick, one could actually turn the cup upside-down upon a plate and slice off pieces of coffee cake....But, i'm sure it's healthy!
My pulse raced at the sight of the concoction, so I decided to go on a walk before i went into cardiac arrest. Pete, Ethan, and Heely joined me.

The wedding was this evening and the girls had some last minute shopping to do. Off they went in a cloud of smoke. Megan, who was to be the Maid of Honor, decided that she needed a little color in her cheeks for the big show, and scheduled to have an application of "spray-tan" adhered to her skin. Instead of going into an established tanning salon, she looked in the yellow pages and hit the jackpot! She found an upstanding "artist" that would come to the house, so one could gain a full body tan without leaving the comfort of one's own home. The appointment was set for 11:00 am. $25 was the agreed upon price. What showed up at the door at 10:30 was priceless!

Tools of the trade...........

The girls had yet to return from there morning shopping, and us boys were giggling at the possibilities of what the next few minutes were going to hold for us. Would Meg go through with it? Would she turn Orange? Would "the artist" pull out his camera and take some creepy shots? Would the monitoring device on his ankle go off, prompting the S.W.A.T. team to rush the house? Our minds raced as we anxiously awaited the arrival of the girls.
To our dismay, the girls weren't nearly as troubled by his appearence nor his overtly creepy demeaner, which prompts the question: "Where do they usually hang out? And, who do they usually hang out with?" I'm still trying to figure out who is creepier. Kev the Atrist or the girls........

After a diappointing 20 minutes, it was all over, no S.W.A.T. team, no orange hue, and in the end, the man who would play Alice Cooper in a movie didn't overtly do anything creepy. Perhaps we were to quick to judge.....It is time to reflect...

St. Pete Threepeat............(Friday)
This was Shelby's interview day and it went well and she is scheduled for a second interview this week, which means another mad dash across state, then back, so we can pick up Brianna before school's out!
It also marked rehearsal dinner for the one's involved. Neither of us were in the wedding, but were invited to the dinner afterwards. As usual, the party didn't start until Shelby and I arrived.....
Before.............

After...........

After bringing down the house with "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden, I've decided to try out for American Idol next year....Watch for updates!

St. Pete three-peat...............(Thursday)
As we criss-cross back and forth across the stat of Florida, I have become increasingly more grateful that this state is a skinny little &@^#^%. We can go, coast tot coast, in about 2 hours, depending on traffic. This past weekend, Shelby had 2 interviews in the Tampa/St. Pete area, and we were going to attend a wedding. We left on Thursday, and hoped for the best.
Since so much happened, each day, I'm going to do a separate post for each day. We showed up fairly late and Ethan had learned a new trick....So, here it is....

Happy Birthy Dylon!
Valentine's Day is impossible for us to forget because 11 years ago, Dylon came into our lives and forever blessed us with his kind heart and spirit. Dylon, I hope you had a wonderful day and I am sorry that we could not be there to celebrate it with you. You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers every day. We love you, son. Happy Birthday!
